Home Schooling

Homeschooling is no stranger to the people of Indonesia. Homeschooling became one of the alternative education who pay attention to the interests and talents of children. Homeschooling is also an alternative education are much in demand by artists, models, singers, athletes, etc. who can not follow the regular school lessons that require students to follow the lessons learned in the school schedule. Although called homeschooling, it does not mean children just learn at home, but they can learn anywhere, which is important the children feel like studying at home, enjoyable.

Of course, homeschooling has positive and negative impact. Children more concerntration in learning because there aren’t trouble from their annoying classmate and they can choose subjects according to their interests and talents, so that children are not bored to learn the lessons that they do not like. Safety concerns of parents with children in the external environment is also reduced, as we know, now more prevalent child abduction, of course by studying at home parents can feel more calm and able to control their children learn.

Children also can avoid the adverse environmental effects that can change the behavior and actions of children to be negative. Homeschooling is also very beneficial for the entertainer, they should work according to schedule and they should not worry to miss class and science, because they can choose their own learning schedule. In addition, studying at home does not have rules like as school rules that must be obeyed, like wearing a uniform, black shoes, hair must be shaved, and the other is not acceptable to most students.

Viewed from the negative side, the main thing that the children interacted less with their peers who may influence child development. In which they can play together, learn, deal with problems and so on which can be an experience for children. Costs for homeschooling is not small, the cost is more expensive than regular schools. Moreover, in the absence of such regulations on time and wear a school uniform can make children less discipline.

 Homeschooling should adapt to the competency standards specified by the Ministry of Education in line with the growth and the ability of the child. Evaluation study can be included in the formal school.

Learning needs of every person is different, that's why some students choose a different place to learn, like the regular schools and homeschooling. But for me, it's better to choose a regular school than homeschooling. I need to socialize with people a lot to improve my confidence, my mental training to deal with problems and most importantly, can get more knowledge because it can share with your friends or teachers or lecturers who are well known. So, it all depends on your needs.
